The directors of the Tampa Bay Chapter were honored to be invited to have lunch with Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, Deputy Commander, and Rear Admiral Curt Renshaw, J-3 Director, of U.S. Central Command, on 07 June 2024 at their headquarters on MacDill Air Force Base. In a wide-ranging discussion, the admirals provided insight into the sustained successes Navy ships deployed in the Red Sea have experienced in countering the ongoing provocations of the Houthi rebels operating in Yemen. 
 Having been the keynote speaker for the SNA East symposium held in Norfolk on 14 May, Admiral Cooper brings a unique perspective to the chapter as we plan for future events, and we are looking forward to hosting a larger gathering later this summer that will bring more of our members together to renew contacts and share sea stories.
