The Sasebo chapter held an Independence Day Golf Tournament on July 3rd. Early July is the rainy season in Southern Japan and while we had a break in the torrential rains the weather still added challenges. Fog Ball -- playing conditions for the first 9 holes resulted in low visibility tee offs usually resulting in a scavenger hunt as the players attempted to find their balls. This didn't dampen the spirits and a good time was still had by all, to include many junior Sailors, friends, and a few retired Sailors as well. A huge thanks to Team GREEN BAY who spearheaded the event.
