Join the Tampa Bay chapter in answering a food insecurity need in our community. Our members are invited to perform some essential tasks on an urban farm in south St. Petersburg on the morning of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s, National Day of Service holiday, 19 January 2026. If weeding, mowing, and sprucing up planting beds and a chicken coop appeal to you, then come on out! Benison Farm is in its seventh year with a vital mission and unbounded potential. Won't you consider joining your Ship/Chapter-mates, along with a host of other volunteers, by pitching in? All are welcome, especially students who may need volunteer community service hours for school.

Who: Volunteers from the wider Pinellas County, Tampa Bay SNA Chapter, and members of the Pinellas Park High School USCG JROTC Unit

What: National Day of Service

Where: Benison Farm 2920 26th Ave. South St. Petersburg, FL 33712

When: 19 January 2026 / 0830 - 1100

Why: To commemorate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., through hands-on work

Note: it's a good idea to bring a water bottle, a hat, and a pair of work gloves.
